About the event
The N.E.W. Workshop is an exciting one-day program for female high school students interested in spending the day exploring nontraditional employment for women. During this workshop, students will be introduced to a variety of industries, meet female leaders, and get hands-on experience. Information presented will include education and training, the typical workday, work environment, wage information, employment forecast, and advantages for women in these occupations.
Mentors will expand career possibilities for young women to consider and pursue by leading students in small group discussions and provide hands-on experience through career simulation activities. Sharing information related to your education and training, typical workday experience, and work environment and will help these students with their future education and career plans.
